DELIVERING LIVE CONTENT TO A GLOBAL AUDIENCE
The 2010 Winter Olympics were an extraordinary event for Vancouver, British Columbia. George Lounge, one of Yaletown's hottest night spots, wanted to share the experience with the rest of the planet.
They expanded their venue and built an outdoor patio complete with flat screen TVs inside and out.
WebStager installed 3 Hi Res IP cameras to broadcast live images, 24/7, of the fans who passed by on the street and those who dined on the patio at George.
More importantly, we created a micro site using all of our soclai media automation and mass distribution applications.
THE OUTCOME
The George Lounge web cam site quickly became one of the world’s most popular 2010 Olympic Web Cam sites. The reason was because our broadcasting engine powered search terms to the top of Google which got us noticed by major broadcasters like NBC and CTV News. Traffic soared to the site as news of it was delivered to the global audience.
Our social media tools allowed our team to quickly upload the images to our broadcast-enabled GPS galleries. They also delivered all the ongoing updates via email, SMS, social media and social networking sites. Finally our widgets updated web sites, blogs and mobile devices carrying our feeds.
Sponsor information was carried not only on the Web Cam internet page but on every social media message as well via the multiple delivery methods.
